Dr. Sunil Talwar

Dr. Sunil Talwar is a vocationally registered General Practitioner and the principal doctor at South City Medical Centre. He started the practice over three decades ago.

Dr. Talwar is an assessor for Senior General Practitioner Registrars and an educator for GP Trainees and an accredited tutor for the College of General Practitioners.

Dr. Talwar is also an Occupational Health Provider, meaning that pre-employment medicals and other vocational work is undertaken at the surgery.

Dr. Lolita Macaballug

Dr. Lolita comes to South City Medical Centre with many years experience in gynecology and woman’s health.

Dr. Lolita works full-time as a GP at South City Medical Centre and her special interest includes children’s and women’s health.

She has expertise in contraception, hormone replacement therapy, insertion of IUD’s and Mirena.

Dr. Jordan Baker

Dr. Baker is an experienced general practitioner with  previous background as a commander in the NZ Army as a Medic in Afghanistan.

In addition to Family Medicine, he has special interest in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Baker is able to help with NZ Defense Force entrant medicals and sports injuries.

Dr. Kiyas Abdul-Azeez

Dr. Abdul-Azeez has trained as a registrar at this practice and has now joined as a vocationally registered general practitioner.

With many years experience in emergency medicine, and having previously worked at the practice, he brings a wealth of knowledge to each consultation.

Dr. Derek Bangura

Dr Derek Bangura has trained as a General Practitioner in the United Kingdom having worked in various practices in the UK.

Derek moved to New Zealand about 2 and a half years ago and worked as a GP in Gore Medical Centre and around the middle of 2017 joined South City Medical Centre as a full time GP.
